Taylor Made

"You know how every girl should have a little black dress in their closet? Well I believe every girl should have a long, black skirt." Out of the many fashion tips that Taylor Saxton would give to me during the time we spent going through her closet, this tip would be one of those she valued the most. "A tight, black skirt will go a long way in your wardrobe. It's classy, simple, and you can pair it with just about any top to create a hot look." And as you can see, that turned out to be very true. This digital broadcast and communications major from Marietta, Georgia aspires to Take the Stares in the spotlight someday as a news or entertainment reporter. Let's see how she Takes the Stares during a night on the town...

So what's the secret to this sexy ensemble? "The top to this piece is actually a swimsuit. I love using one-piece swimsuits as bodysuits." This is the definition of keeping an open mind. The tight, black pencil skirt and peach swimsuit ensemble turns into a cute evening dress.

"A little can say a whole lot. Showing cleavage isn't really my style. I think showing off your back says so much more. I like to wear outfits that keep the eye guessing. Wearing a skirt, such as this one, instead of a short, mini skirt may not show off my legs, but it will certainly accentuate my shape."

Oh, and by the way, we love these ankle-strap sandals! They're perfect for a night out. I think the secret to these shoes is that they give the illusion that your foot is naked while still having the elevated appeal that heels bring to your feet. So even when you decide to wear some of your more conservative evening wear, these shoes do all the talking and allow you to show enough skin without overdoing it.

"It's important to keep older pieces in your closet so you can learn how to pair them with newer pieces you may attain in the future. By recycling your old clothes, the variety of new outfits you can create is endless!"

"Keeping it simple is important, too. It's not always about dressing up." I liked this point. Remember that you make the outfit. Don't let the outfit make, or break, you.
"It's important to learn your body type. What works for someone else may not work for you. I like to wear things that pull me in, such as high waisted pants."

Well, I believe Taylor will definitely Take the Stares tonight. And her outfit is only the icing to her passionate, ambitious, and caring personality. It's her ability to rock her chic style with a cool confidence you won't come by very often that takes the cake.

"Stay true to your style. No one can truly believe in it except yourself."
