Urban Behavior

Who said that women were the only ones who knew about fashion? That's right ya'll. Men know how to Take the Stares, too. Meet Marcus Wright, a third year at The University of Georgia from Powder Springs, Georgia, studying finance. Marcus hopes to start his career as a Financial Representative or a Financial Analyst so that someday he may eventually become an Investment Banker or an Investment Manager. But guess how else Marcus hopes to Take the Stares? "I hope to use my success in business and finance for an impact on the fashion world." So today, Marcus gave me a little taste of what it's like to Take the Stares in a variety of his shoes.

All Black Everything. And a Little Plaid.
Who ever said all black attire was too hot for the summer hasn't tried a look like this one. What's great about this look is that even though it's so easy to put together, it says so much. It's edgy, sliming, and gives you the urban look you want to rock. A graphic tee and black skinny jeans - classic! And if that's just too simple for your taste, we mixed his trend with an old one by tying a plaid button-up around the waist of his skinny jeans, bringing the 90's back to these streets.
"Similar to how life is what you make it, fashion is what you make it. I’m a firm believer that your past experiences, your appearance, your environment, or what’s in doesn’t have to define your future or how you carry yourself . Nor do those things have to define your style and taste in fashion. You are your only obstacle."
VarCity Blues.
There's something about a pair of Tim's that can really pull an urban look together. And they really do pull this outfit together. This look simply consist of a varsity jacket layered with a sleeveless hoodie and dark skinny jeans. And to give it that pop of color, we added a red graphic tee for the finishing touch.
"A lot of people don't know I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Being in a military family, I spent my childhood in many different states and countries. My interest in fashion peaked when I became more interested in other cultures and arts around the world, and everything that life had to offer. Fashion then became more of a hobby, and no longer a method of defining myself or gaining attention."
Parlay.
Of course, this look was my absolute favorite. It's a clean look, but it's really casual and fun, too. Perfect for a day in the city or even a first date! We set off this paisley button-up with a blue, white, and orange striped tank to give it pop and balance.
"I have a lot of hobbies such as exercising, playing basketball, reading, watching movies, listening to music, and learning about history. But one of my favorite hobbies is researching fashion on a worldwide basis. I enjoy researching the different international trends, designers, and styles, and then combining all of those elements into my own personal style."
Loafers are always a great go-to for button up shirts and cargo pants. These are skinny pants that we cuffed and rolled up to the calf.

"MY fashion is what I make it!"
