DIY - Flower Headband

Who's ready to embrace their inner hippy today? I've got a fun DIY project to present for all you flower children ready to take the summer by storm with some lovely flower headbands! You may want to take a pit stop at your nearest Michael's or Joanne's first to grab some necessary material...
Materials:
  • Artificial flowers of your choice
  • Hot glue gun and hot glue gun sticks
  • Scissors
  • Braided, elastic band

Step 1
Take the braided, elastic band out of its packaging. Wrap the band around your head in order to get an accurate measurement for your headband. When you have securely made an accurate fit for the band, use your scissors to cut the band at the appropriate place. Take your hot glue gun and glue it together.
Step 2
Take the artificial flowers of your choice and gently detach the flowers (including the green plastic part attached to the flower) from the stems.
Step 3
Now detach the green plastic part from the flowers. Then detach the leaves from the stem.
Step 4
Now take your flowers and their green attachments OR leaves and arrange them on your headband in whichever desired pattern you so choose (in this post, we are going to use the green attachments instead of the leaves). Do not hot glue your flowers and green attachments until you have found a pattern you are satisfied with. Once you have found a pattern, you may begin to hot glue your pieces directly onto the headband.
Step 5

Repeat step 4 all the way around the headband.
Step 6
Congrats flower child. You have created your very own flower headband!
Far out.
